A CRASH COURSE ON ADULTING- South Asian Youth Mental Health Empowerment Program
July 5 @ 10:00 am - July 29 @ 5:00 pm
Being an “adult” can seem scary, especially in the middle of a pandemic. Good thing Soch has got your back!
With an overarching theme of improving wellbeing, this program aims to provide Ontario youth aged 18-24 with the skills, support, insight and resources to navigate situations related to the “real-world” transitions after post-secondary, such as entering the workforce all while making your mental health a priority. The program will be delivered as a 2-DAY VIRTUAL COURSE throughout the month of July, with the option of attending 4 Keynote Talks with incredibly experienced community members related to course content. Topics covered in the course include:
- Foundations of mental health
- Wellness & work-life balance
- Establishing boundaries
- Navigating career choices
- Tools for pandemic recovery
- Accessing support
SPOTS ARE LIMITED since sessions will be delivered in a small group setting. Participants can register for the morning (10AM-2PM ET) or afternoon (2PM-6PM ET) sessions. Please note: When registering on Eventbrite, you will be signing up for only the first day of the course. It is expected that participants attend both sessions (the day you register for AND the subsequent day) to successfully complete the course and receive the certificate of completion.
